School Pantry Program

The Berkeley Food Network offers fresh produce and non-perishable food to the families of BUSD students and staff, free of charge and without collecting information about individuals or households. (Each school reports the number of people getting food bags at their school each time. The Berkeley Food Network never receives any information about individuals.)

Prepacked bags delivered directly to the schools often include:

  • cabbage
  • zucchini
  • greens
  • rice
  • beans
  • pasta
  • tuna
  • canned tomato

You can get fresh meat, eggs, or dairy and select your own food at the Berkeley Food Network pantry open on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month, 2 -– 3:30 pm, in the South Berkeley Senior Center parking lot (on Ellis at Ashby).

Coming soon: more pantries open more hours at more locations, including the Berkeley Technical Academy at 2701 Martin Luther King Jr Way!
