Volunteer to help us end hunger and reduce food waste in Berkeley
March 2020 COVID-19 crisis update:
During this time, we are looking for healthy individuals between the ages of 16 and 64 who can help us in the fast-paced environment of our warehouse and on-site pantry. Due to school shut downs and people losing work, we are seeing more and more folks in need of food. This is an important time for those of us who are able to support people in need in our community. We are taking extra precautions for volunteer safety and have a plan in place to minimize contact while increasing our already strong sanitation protocol. It’s all hands on deck and we hope to see you soon!
Please use this link sign up for a shift:
If you do not find any available shifts when you first go to the above link, please check back. We regularly need extra people to help out at the last minute. We suggest you check first thing in the morning on days you are available to volunteer. Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Berkeley Food Network.
During this time we are asking that you only use the above link to sign up to volunteer.
Please email email@example.com with any questions you may have.
Here’s another volunteer opportunity.
If you want to volunteer, but are in a high-risk group and can’t come into our warehouse, please consider making face masks for our volunteers to use. If we have extras, we will distribute them to our clients. Here are some good instructions on how to make and use masks. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
