Jackson began working for us on November 18, 2019. He is a Berkeley native who has been working for the City of Berkeley’s Aging Services Division. In that role he assisted BFN with our twice-monthly South Berkeley Senior Center Mobile Pantry distribution and Public Schools Grocery bag program. When we learned Jackson was interested in working for us, we immediately said yes! Jackson brings strong leadership skills, an upbeat and compassionate nature, and an ethic of hard work to the role. He will be playing the primary role in getting our Redistribution Organization and our internship programs off the ground. In addition to working for BFN and the City of Berkeley, he also serves as shop steward for his City of Berkeley union and as the Chair of the Youth Spirit Artworks board of directors.
