Got food to donate?

We’d love to work with you to donate. We accept a variety of donations from all kinds of sources around the East Bay area. The process is easy and helps us feed the community, limits waste, and benefits the environment!

For General Donations:

To drop off your donated food items, please come to our warehouse at 1925 Ninth St., at the corner of University Ave. and Ninth St. We accept donations Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm. Check out our Food Donations Guide for specific guidelines. Please email Grace (grace@berkeleyfoodnetwork.org) describing your donation and when you plan to drop-off. Feel free to reach out with remaining questions as well!

For Gardeners:

We accept all kinds of produce! Use the Fresh Food Connect App to enter a donation, where you will share the type, quantity, and date of your produce. You can schedule a pickup from your home or drop off items at our warehouse at 1925 Ninth St.

For Food Business / Wholesale:

We’d love to work with you to donate on a recurring or as needed basis! We work with a variety of wholesalers in the East Bay area who donate their unsellable surplus food that is still edible. It could be over-purchased or over-produced, close to its sell-by date, extra product from R&D, or from buyers that have fallen through.
We pick this food up or the donor delivers it to us, and then we get it directly out to the community. We can always provide donation receipts to our donors for their generosity!  Reach out to Grace (grace@berkeleyfoodnetwork.org) to coordinate.

Still have questions about your food donation? Please reach out to Grace, our Food Recovery Manager at grace@berkeleyfoodnetwork.org
