April 28:

Berkeley Food Network’s Next Quarterly Network Meeting

We will be talking about the Farm Bill and potential cuts to SNAP (aka food stamps or, in California, CalFresh). As it is now written, this bill will  have very negative consequences for many of our most vulnerable clients. Let’s come together as a network to advocate against the currently proposed bill.

We also want your input on trainings: what training topics do you want us to cover, what are the best days and times for us to offer trainings, and how often shall we offer them? Please come with your ideas.

Finally, as many of you know, we are working with a team from the Haas Business School’s Social Sector Solutions program to create an operations plan for our food sourcing and distribution hub. Come to hear about the team’s vision for our hub, how it will operate, and how it will serve your agency.
